Personal account

I am registered with PARK NOW via my company. Can I park with my private PARK NOW account?

You can switch between your private and business account at any time. Before you start parking, click on the user icon at the upper right and select your alternative account.
You have to link your accounts once by logging in to the alternate account or registering an alternate account.

You can also change and manage your accounts in your user account – “swap accounts”.

What is mobile parking?

Mobile parking is the cashless and ticketless handling of parking actions on-street. Instead of searching for change and a parking meter, you can now simply start and end your parking action at the touch of a button with the PARK NOW iOs app / Android app or through a simple phone call or SMS.

What is PARK NOW?

PARK NOW redefines parking. Our aim is to achieve easy and stress-free parking, without the hassle of finding change to pay for your parking, be it on- or off-street. With the help of our PARK NOW app, you can find parking close-by and pay without having to use cash.

Furthermore, you can activate and end your parking action with the touch of a button. No longer will you need to make a detour to find parking-ticket machines in car parks. Your parking history can be viewed within the app or through your personal account online. Parking couldn’t be more convenient.

We are also constantly aiming to improve our service – in the near future, PARK NOW will be available directly within your in-car navigation system and will enable you to reserve parking spaces in car parks.

How much does PARK NOW cost and what are the different packages?

Parking fees vary among the different on-street locations and car parks.

Depending on which PARK NOW package you choose, a 0,29 EUR service fee or a monthly base fee of 2,99 EUR additionally applies. You can find a detailed overview of our packages here.

Does PARK NOW charge a registration fee?

How do I register with PARK NOW?

You can register to become a customer directly within the PARK NOW iOs app / Android app or through our website.

Registration with PARK NOW is for free.

To register, you need your personal information, mobile phone number, payment details as well as the license plate number of your car. You can find an overview of the PARK NOW packages here.

 

Can I join PARK NOW as a business user?

Yes. You can join PARK NOW as both a private or business user. During registration, choose the option “business” for business users.

On-street parking

How does PARK NOW function on-street?

On-street parking with PARK NOW is easy and cashless. You can start or end your parking action through the PARK NOW iOS App / Android App, via phone call or SMS.

Please note that in various cities you require a parking sticker for on-street parking. This sticker needs to be clearly visible attached behind the windscreen of your car. Download your parking sticker for free or order a self-adhesive sticker in your app.

How does parking by SMS work?

Parking by SMS is possible for all customers with a registered user account.

To start or end parking on-street via SMS, simply send the following SMS code to:

0049 (0) 177 178 2213 (within Germany)
0043 (0) 676 800 505 467 (within Austria)

Instructions for starting a parking process via SMS:
Start [zone] [vehicle registration number] For example: “start 336007 MPN3338”

Instructions for ending a parking process via SMS:
Stop [vehicle registration number] For example: “stop MPN3338”

Important to note:

– When parking with SMS, two SMS notifications are always billed at € 0.15 each (€ 0.30 total). The confirmation for the start and stop of the parking process is preset for SMS parking and cannot be deactivated.

– If you enter a new license plate number for your SMS parking process, it will automatically be added to your user account.

Off-street parking

How does PARK NOW function off-street?

To use our service in car parks, register for free via the PARK NOW iOs app / Android app and order the access card for only € 2.69.

You can order the access card in the app under “Account” (iOS) or “Manage” (Android).

All PARK NOW parking garages in your area are displayed in the app. With just one click you can call up information on opening times, parking fees and other services and choose the right parking garage. Your navigation system will take you to the selected parking garage.

The parking session starts automatically when you enter the car park. The barrier will open automatically through license plate recognition or through identification of your car park access card.

How does the barrier open automatically using the access card?

To use the access card in the parking garage, make sure that you have linked your card to your user account in the app.

To enter the car park, hold the PARK NOW access card in the vehicle towards the reader (up left) or directly to the reader in the barrier.

Your parking process starts automatically when you enter the PARK NOW parking garage and ends automatically when you exit.

You can order the access card in the app under “Account” (iOS) or “Manage”(Android) for a one-time fee of € 2.69.

Where can I download the PARK NOW App?

The PARK NOW app is currently available for free for iOS in the Apple AppStore and Android in the Google Play Store. Here you can find instructions for the iOs app download / Android app download.

How can I login to the app?

Having completed the registration process through the website or app, you can login to your personal account with the mobile phone number or e-mail address you provided when you registered. If you have forgotten your password, please select “forgotten password” to reset.

Digital parking disc

Do I have to pay to use PARK NOW as a digital parking disc?

The digital parking disc is free of charge for you. Unlike in paid parking zones, there are no service charges.

The registration and the inquiry of the payment information serves only our registration protocol as well as the license plate inquiry by the parking enforcement team.

Where can I use the digital parking disc?

In all parking zones in Oberhaching near Munich, Utting am Ammersee and in Hard in Vorarlberg, where you are required to use a parking disc, you can now also use our digitized offer.

Parking Sticker

In which cities do I need a parking sticker when parking on-street?

In the following cities you are required to display a parking sticker or a handwritten note mentioning “PARK NOW Handyparken” in the windshield for parking on-street:

Germany:

Bad Homburg, Bad Oldesloe, Berlin, Bernkastel-Kues, Bingen, Detmold, Dortmund*, Duderstadt, Frankfurt am Main,Friedberg, Hameln, Hanau, Heidenheim, Hennigsdorf, Kiel, Köln, Landshut, Lemgo, Lübeck, Mainz, Mönchengladbach, Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Oberwiesenthal, Planegg, Pöhl, Potsdam, Stolberg, Tübingen.

*Be aware that handwritten note are not allowed in these cities:

 

Austria:

Bludenz, Graz, Innsbruck, Krems, Linz, Salzburg, Zell am See

Why do I need a parking sticker for on-street parking?

In some cities it is necessary to place a parking sticker or note clearly visible behind your vehicle’s windshield. In these cities only cars with a parking sticker/note will be checked for a valid parking session. Is no sticker or note placed, you may receive a parking fine despite of having an active parking session.

Therefore, please make sure your parking sticker is clearly visible. In most cities it is accepted to place a note with “PARK NOW Handyparken” visible behind your windscreen.

Promotion code / QR code

Can I redeem several promotion codes at the same time or enter the same code twice?

You can only store one promotion code manually in your user profile, but you can add several QR codes one after the other. It is not possible to store the same promotion code twice.

What is a promotion code / QR code and why should it be used?

A promotion code or QR code guarantees certain discounts for PARK NOW users (e.g. free testing of the PARK NOW app without service fees) and/or you receive a certain amount of parking credits. The discounts will be considered in your next monthly invoice.

Which information can I see and edit in my personal account?

You can see and edit your personal details in your personal account at any time through the PARK NOW iOs app / Android app or the website.

– Update users and vehicles
– Overview parking history
– Order car park access card or parking sticker
– Access monthly invoices
– Edit payment method
– and much more.

As a sub user of a customer account you are able to access your own customer details. All other information (e.g. payment method, monthly invoices etc.) can only be accessed by the main user of the account.

I am receiving fee-based reminders by SMS. How can I adjust or deactivate these?

You can deactivate your SMS reminders at any time in your personal account via the app or website. Choose “notifications” in your personal account to deactivate or adjust the reminders. Please do not forget to end your parking actions on time and keep an eye on the maximum allowed parking duration allowed.

Billing

How do I pay for my parking fees?

Any parking costs and service fees incurred will automatically be billed via your chosen payment method on a monthly basis.

At any time, you can tap ‘Activity’ at the bottom of your screen to view your parking history and transactions.

You can also assign notes to each individual parking action. This makes it easier to keep track of your parking actions for reference.

How and when do I receive my invoice?

Your parking costs and service fees will be billed to your chosen payment method on a monthly basis. You receive an invoice notification per e-mail with an overview and link to your electronic invoice. You can download your invoices at any time as pdf documents from your personal account in the app or website.

Business customer receive a VAT-deductible monthly invoice.

Data privacy

How do I see what data PARK NOW holds?

When our Customer Care team receives your “information request” they will respond within 30 days. Once your identity and the validity of your request have been verified, a report will be generated that will provide an overview of all the data of yours we process.

How do I change or delete my personal data?

You can change most of your personal details directly in your account. If there is personal data you cannot change here, please contact our HelpDesk / Customer Care team. If you request to invoke your “right to be forgotten /we will evaluate your submission with our GDPR team and Data Protection Officer. They will assess the validity of your request and to what extent the application can be executed. We will let you know what actions have been taken within 30 days of receiving your request. Not all data can be deleted due to, for example, tax obligations. Our Privacy Policy / Notice has more information about your right to be forgotten.
